Comparison of Tungum (UNS C69100) vs Copper-Nickel Alloys

This document provides a comparison of the mechanical and physical properties of Tungum (UNS C69100) and two common copper-nickel alloys: 90/10 CuNi (UNS C70600) and 70/30 CuNi (UNS C71500).

Summary

Tungum offers significantly higher strength compared with both copper-nickel alloys, making it particularly suitable for high-pressure hydraulic and instrumentation tubing. While CuNi alloys provide excellent corrosion resistance in seawater environments, Tungum combines corrosion resistance with higher mechanical strength and good fatigue performance.
